Pocket Air Filters

Pocket air filters, also known as bag filters, are designed to capture more airborne contaminants and particles compared to non-pleated panel filters, requiring less frequent replacement. Commonly used in HVAC systems, they enhance indoor air quality in environments such as auto shops, data centers, food and beverage facilities, industrial sites, and schools. These filters are ideal for applications where air continuously flows through the system, though they can release some trapped material back into the air stream if they deflate.

To minimize particle redistribution, pocket air filters should be installed with their pockets oriented vertically. The efficiency of these filters is measured by their MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) rating, which indicates their ability to trap particles based on size. A higher MERV rating reflects greater effectiveness in capturing smaller particles.
